Amazon Canada Unveils Richmond Hill Delivery Hub: 50K Packages Daily

Amazon Canada recently inaugurated its first logistics delivery station, DOI4, in Richmond Hill, providing critical support for package deliveries in the Greater Toronto Area.
Located on Vogel Road and spanning 225,000 square feet, DOI4 is part of Amazon’s "last-mile" delivery network. Packages are sorted, scanned, and loaded onto delivery vehicles at this facility before reaching customers. During the upcoming holiday season, DOI4 is expected to process over 50,000 packages daily.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 12 was attended by Richmond Hill Mayor David West, Provincial Member of Parliament Daisy Wai, and several city council members. Richmond Hill, situated in the heart of the Greater Toronto Area and close to the 400-series highways, offers exceptional delivery efficiency.
DOI4 began recruitment efforts in October and currently employs 150 full-time and seasonal staff, ensuring smooth logistics operations during peak periods. This new facility not only strengthens Amazon’s logistics network in Canada but also contributes positively to Richmond Hill’s economic development.
As the holiday shopping season heats up, DOI4’s efficient operations will further enhance Amazon’s customer experience and provide local residents with faster and more reliable delivery services.
